Dynamic Thermal Measurements of Tunable Radiative Coatings for Space Applications

Energy icon, disabled. An orange lightning bolt.
The objective of this project is to further the understanding of tunable radiative coatings such as vanadium dioxide. In order to explore this material, a thermal measurement system was developed to fit inside the constraints of the cryostat vacuum chamber which mimics the space environment. Once fully implemented, the measurement system will be able to run experiments on tuned coatings in order to create advances in the field of spacecraft coatings.
