Complementary Wireless Vision Test Bed
The next generation of high frequency 5G wireless communications will allow high data rate communication. However, operating at these frequencies poses challenges such as (i) the sensitivity to blockages which motivates establishing Line-of-Sight(LOS) connection and (ii) the high beam training overhead resulting from deploying large antenna arrays. To combat these challenges, we propose to leverage camera data to guide the beam search. We are building a real-world data as an extension of our synthetic data set. A testbed will be established to take real measurements. The results from the dataset will be compared to those in the previous data set.
