Closed-Loop Control for Variable Inductor System at High Frequencies
Developing a closed-loop feedback system to regulate inductance is magnetic materials is important due to the challenges that are posed by parasitic effects in the design of variable passive devices. Manipulating magnetic materials to reach saturation allows for modulation of permeability, which gives dynamic control of inductance with AC inputs. However, measuring the AC input poses a threat to the integrity of the signal needed to establish a DC current for a specific inductance. This project is geared toward facing these challenges by testing a high frequency peak detector and conducting any necessary changes that need to be made to the embedded system. In addition creating a device interface board to conduct tests and control mechanism.
