An Arizona-Specific, Real-World Driving Emissions Testing Methodology

Sustainability icon, disabled. A green leaf.

The research project focuses on developing an Arizona-specific RDE test to corroborate and supplement the laboratory testing used to certify vehicles for sale and operation. The researcher is currently developing a clearer understanding of the currently employed testing methods used in the EU for NOx and PM measurements in RDE testing and is providing an in-depth summary. Once a complete understanding of the well-documented and long-developed EU RDE testing methodology is complete, the Arizona-specific test methodology can be developed. The newly developed methodology will require refinement and validation.
