Tianyu Yang
Assistant Professor, School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy
Tianyu Yang is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy. Most recently, she was a postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University, where she developed autonomous and self-powered thermal safety systems for skin-integrated wearable devices. She obtained her PhD degree at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on heat energy and effective thermal management of electronics. Yang has published multiple research papers in major scientific journals. Her current research interests include heat and mass transfer, phase change materials, passive and active thermal analysis and management of semiconductors, and bio-integrated electronics for healthcare.
