Hua Wei

Hua Wei is an Assistant Professor at Arizona State University. He earned his Ph.D. from Penn State University. His primary research interests include reinforcement learning, data mining, and urban computing, with a focus on trustworthy reinforcement learning, multi-agent reinforcement learning, and spatio-temporal data mining. His students and his own research work as a first author have been published in top conferences and journals in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, and control (NeurlPS, ICML, AAAI, KDD, IJCAI, ECML-PKDD, WWW, CIKM). His work has received multiple Best Paper Awards, including honors from ECML-PKDD and ICCPS. He is a recipient of an NSF CAREER Award (2025), the Amazon Research Award, and the Cisco Faculty Research Award.
