Associate Professor, School for the Future of Innovation in Society
Hello! I run re-Engineered, an interdisciplinary group that embeds environmental protection, social justice, peace, and human rights in engineering. We work on questions like:
- What is the nature of community-based engineering and scientific collaborations? How can we understand them, and build more of them, especially for environmental, climate, and energy challenges?
- How do public values affect the design of technologies?
- What does the future of environmental governance look like?
- How can space systems be designed to have a mitigated environmental impact?
- How can engineering promote animal thriving?
- What is the moral and social responsibility of engineers?
I also work with colleagues to run Constellation Prize.
You can read more about what we do on our group website here.
