Christian Hoover
Associate Professor, School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment
Christian Hoover is an assistant professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University. He joined the ASU faculty in 2016.
Hoover's research interests include structural and solid mechanics, fracture mechanics, multi-scale material characterization, materials and structural testing.
He received his doctorate in theoretical and applied mechanics from Northwestern University and his master's and bachelor's degrees in civil engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Hoover completed his postdoctoral training at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2012-2016).
