BrainTracker mHealth Application: Monitoring the Comorbidities of Pediatric Neurological Disorders
Children with chronic disorders such as epilepsy are at an increased risk for cognitive and psychosocial problems. Clinical assessments of these comorbidities are resource-intensive and typically not gathered from a diverse population. Development of a mobile health application that integrates current standard assessments would be a resource-effective way to mass distribute a point-of-care instrument to monitor and treat children suffering from the comorbidities of neurological disorders regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic status. The application will use evidence-based assessment to compare mobile tools with standard tools in a pilot trial with pediatric epilepsy patients.
