Characterizing the Effects of Glass Adhesives on Plated Fluorescent Beads

Health icon, disabled. A red heart with a cardiac rhythm running through it.

This project seeks to create a calibration tool for an automated electrophysiology system. It will do this by identifying the ideal methods to create such a tool. By testing the glass adhesives and the fluorescence of the beads under various conditions, researchers can obtain a better understanding of the limitations of both the adhesives and the fluorescent beads. If the effects of different glass adhesives on plated fluorescent beads can be characterized, then a sustainable, effective, and reusable calibration tool can be developed.
